Warren County, New Jersey was formally incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey State Legislature on 20 November 1824 and was enacted in May of 1825 when the newly appointed Freeholders (now Commissioners) held their first meeting. Warren County  was created from a part of Sussex County and today has 22 municipalities.

In 2024 and 2025, the County will be celebrating its bicentennial anniversary with a variety of events, activities, and more.
